Charlie Weir passed away suddenly early in 2015. He was the co-owner of Weir Welding Company, Inc., in Carlstadt, NJ for 40 years. He worked beside his father for 30 years, his brother Tom for 37 years, sister Allison and brother-in-law Ernie for 24 years. He was the firm’s President for the past 17 years.
Charlie was an active member of the Mid Atlantic Steel Fabricators Association and was involved in many other associations as well. He was a consummate professional, putting his heart and soul into everything he did and our association benefited from the time he spent with us.
We honor Charlie’s memory by annually bestowing the Charlie Weir Award on a current member or members who, like Charlie, have given their time and talent to support the Mid Atlantic Fabricator’s Association.
