Crystal Steel is co-hosting an AISC SteelDays event with AWS’s District 2 on 10/24. Chesapeake College’s $1.5M mobile welding training lab will be on site, and the morning portion (9am-2:30pm) will be attended by approx. eight schools that attended last year’s event, plus one middle school, for an approx. attendance count of 160 students. AWS’s District 2 section will host a welding workshop on site, and a plant tour will be held for the afternoon portion (2pm-5pm), where engineers and architects are all invited to try their hands at actual welding and win a prize.
