Joe Catov was inducted into the Mid Atlantic Steel Fabricators Association’s Honor Roll on November 16, 2016. He has served the construction industry for over 50 years after graduating from Villanova University. He began his career at US Gypsum in the 1950s before working for Tubular Products from 1960 to 1981. After that, Joe started his own independent manufacturer’s representative firm, Joseph M. Catov Associates. He later teamed with Rich Katz, owner of Archcraft to provide a large variety of ornamental metals and structural steel products to fabricators in the Mid-Atlantic region.
His in-depth knowledge of the equipment and the capacity of dozens of fabrication plants in Canada and the Mid-Atlantic region has been a cornerstone of Joe’s ability to successfully negotiate deals for some of the most important construction projects built in our area. He has earned a reputation as a man of great integrity, who listens well and works hard every day to provide for his family, his business and many of us in the Mid Atlantic Steel Fabricators Association. The unique way in which Joe weaves decades of experience with an awareness of the latest changes in our industry, make him invaluable to our association and we are grateful for his presence at our meetings and his input on the complex issues facing our industry today.
