Winning with Steel: Everything (well almost everything) you wanted to know about structural steel but were afraid to ask.
The presentation looks at understanding the structural steel supply chain, the importance of early involvement of structural steel fabricators and erectors, the Code of Standard Practice, and Certification of Fabricators and Erectors. We will examine steel by answering five questions:
- What advantages does structural steel provide to the project?
- What do I need to know about structural steel supply chain that will allow me to better manage the structural steel package?
- What expectations should I have about the structural steel when it arrives on site and is erected?
- How do I manage risk relative to the structural steel package?
- Where do I turn to get more help and explore these topics more deeply?
